The Quest For The Perfect Denim

Buying the perfect pair of jeans is such a personal process. It involves looking for a pair that is going to flatter your every angle, something you can wear day in and day out, and ultimately a pair that you can become emotionally attached to. Right!? So when the day comes they finally rip, or you accidentally put them on full spin, extra hot in the washing machine, you ask yourself how you're going to go on.

Been there.

So here in Australia it's finally jean purchasing season, and this tends to be a particularly stressful time. Sometimes finding the perfect pair of jeans can take months, or even years! My tip however, is to stop overthinking it. From my time spent as a stylist, I have found that women generally opt for the safer option when it comes to denim. Although they might love a pair of cropped flares, or denim with a little extra detail, they will always opt for the plain, skinny blue or black pair - which is fine. However, from experience I generally find that if the jeans are quality and have an amazing fit, you will end up wearing them with everything anyway - even if they are different from your everyday skinny pair. Which is why you shouldn't play it safe! If you love the jeans and they look amazing - buy them!

At the moment I am loving cropped flare jeans. I have had my vintage Levi's pictured here since last Winter, which I bought from Revolve, and honestly can't express how I have lived in them. See some more of my current picks at the bottom of this post!
